I spent last M-F in Washington D.C. with 70+ 8th graders.  The trip was about perfect.  Kids, weather, teachers, and tour guides were all great.

We had a fantastic week seeing new stuff and a new view on old stuff.

On Friday, I sent the kids home and then I took Amtrak on Saturday and headed to Newport News and surprised my good buddy Joe.  Jason also flew out for the surprise.  We had a great time visiting, hanging out, and checking out Yorktown, Jamestown, and Fort Monroe.

Came home Tuesday.  Pretty tired.  Good to be home.  Now, time to get ready for thr party on Friday.

I got to open my 2nd Time
Capsule last Saturday with the 2012 Seniors.  It was fantastic seeing them, and
I was so proud of all them.  They all have plans for next year and beyond.  It
is a really cool, fun thing I wish more teachers would
do.

and get to work.  Only 2,300 more weeks until you can collect S.S.
